($130) Inky violet. Explosive and exotic scents of blueberry, boysenberry and cassis. Broad, deep and beautifully concentrated, with sweet dark fruit flavors complemented by an exotic array of maple, honey, marzipan and dark chocolate notes. A strikingly rich, deep wine, with a ripe, almost candied tone to the finish. But today I find the Clio purer and more energetic. (Fine Estates From Spain, Dedham, MA)
