($30) Ruby-red. Ripe cherry and blackberry aromas, with a good dose of toasty, vanillin oak. Rich and weighty, showing a distinctly ripe character and strong, almost sweet oak tones atop flavors of cherry and dark berry liqueur. Finishes on a note of bitter chocolate. This needs to be paired with rich, fatty food.
