($18) Ruby-red. Youthful nose shows primary, grapey blackberry and cherry tinged by licorice, espresso and incense. Full but firm on the palate, with deep blackberry and cassis flavors supported by a strong tannic spine. This concentrated, dense wine needs time to unwind, as well as hearty food.
