($45; 70% monastrell and 30% cabernet sauvignon) Ruby-red. Sharply focused raspberry, cassis and floral aromas are complicated by zesty minerals and a suave cocoa quality. Sweet red berry and cherry flavors are strikingly pure and deep, with fine-grained tannins adding shape and firmness. The mineral character repeats on the impressively long, juicy finish. There are plenty of $100 wines that can't match this.

Spain Meets the Aussies
When RP says this is hedonistic, he's not kidding. Tough to drink anything else right after tasting Clio. Has high extraction level with utterly delicious mid palate and finish.

I Would pay $100+
I would pay $100+ for this bottle. The 2004 is much better than the 2005. I stumbled on the 2004 by accident, I paid $45 for it at a locsal wine shop. It was the last bottle. I've been looking for it ever since. AMAZING BOTTLE!
My local wine merchant put me onto this fabulous wine. I want more and can't find it!
I have to agree with the others.
With a modest cellar of a few hundred bottles, this is one of our favourites. It is truly delicious, and I hope we can keep from consuming it all right away. If you see any, please don't buy it -- instead it would be far preferable if you notify me so that I can buy it!!!!

I would agree with the past reviewer. This wine is a beast. 75% Monastrel with the rest Cab. Big up front bold Spanish style at its best. The distributor is Jorge Ordonez. He has a great portfolio of wines. If you find this buy all of it.
There's a reason you can't find it...
...and it's not because it tastes bad.
I stumbled on to this wine by accident at a Spanish restaurant in NYC about 2 months ago. I was able to find 2 bottles at my local shop. Since then, it has vanished.
Great boquet of black fruit, smooth black fruit on the tounge with a consistency that's almost mouth coating. Just the right amount of tannin.
If you can find it, buy it.
