92 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2005

($71; made from a vineyard that features cooler limestone and clay soil, planted in 1964) Bright, deep ruby-red. Primal aroma of blackberry with a hint of tar. Ripe, lush and broad, with lovely pliancy for the vintage and wonderfully sweet, almost syrupy berry flavors. Impressively rich wine, finishing bright and firm, with very fine tannins. .
