($25) The superripe aromas of butterscotch, bubblegum and herbs came as a shock following the vibrant collection of rieslings. Full, plump and sweet, with modest intensity and definition. Shows a saline aspect but avoids the mushroom character that plagues many pinot gris bottlings from this vintage. An easy style of wine with r.s. close to 20 grams per liter.
