Fabulous Merlot

Best Merlot we've ever had, and the value is extraordinary. You'll be hooked and come back for more every time you visit your wine store.

Running with Scissors - Great tasting wine! I tried the wine because the label caught my eye (a man actually running with a pair of scissors) and was not disappointed. I bought 2 bottles--one for me and a friend. After tasting my bottle, I did not want to give the other away. (LOL) Will ALWAYS have this in the wine cooler!
Huge Value!!!!

Unbelievable taste for $10. I've had $40 bottles that did not taste this good. I was talking to my wife when I tasted it and just stopped and said, "Wow!". Very smooth and easy to drink. It has a very good balance of fruit and somewhat dry red wine. One of these bottles will stay in my wine rack.

For $10, you can't ask for more. This is an easy drinking, great entertaining wine. The name alone gets conversation going. You will be pleased with this choice. Easily becoming a house favorite.
I was suckered in as well..

I was also lured to R w. S by the label and low price, thinking it would be a great icebreaker to keep around. It turns out this is one of my new favorite wines. Case after case, I'm still happy.

It's hard to believe this 2005 was only $10. It had great balance and complexity. The tannins were perfectly mild, the spice was excellent, and the fruit was lush and full.

I'm a sucker for labels. I tried R with S as a joke because I liked the name, discription on the back, and the label. Thought it would be a fun wine to take to a friend's house. I was supprised at the quality of this Merlot, full body, good chocolate and berry taste. I'm buying a case.
Very good balance + good price really is 3+*

About California

It is remarkable that an industry essentially less than a half-century old could capture the attention of the American wine-buying public to the degree that California has. Powerful consumer interest in California wine is driven by two major factors. The more obvious reason is that California's best wines, which come from grapes grown in...

Merlot

Merlot enjoyed a surge in popularity in the 1990s as consumers suddenly discovered that they could enjoy aromas and flavors similar to those of Cabernet in a fleshier, softer wine with smoother tannins. A wave of Merlot plantings followed, frequently in soils and microclimates completely inappropriate for this variety, and the market was soon...
