($17) Bright ruby-red. Plum, redcurrant, tobacco and leather on the complex nose; smells like a ripe-year Bordeaux. Then sweet but laid-back and cool in the mouth, with good energy to the flavors of redcurrant, cedar and herbs. A structured and rather stylish wine with plenty of material in reserve. Finishes with firm but supple tannins and lingering notes of tobacco and fresh herbs. This should evolve slowly and last well.
