2004 Bodega Monteviejo Lindaflor Malbec Valle de Uco Mendoza

Good full ruby. Pure black fruits, minerals, licorice and mineral dust, lifted by a floral topnote. Juicy, tight and imploded; quite dry today following the bottling in August. But this wine has an exotic, liqueur-like dark berry character supported by firm spine. Finishes with very firm tannins and lingering black fruits. Ultimately quite ripe but not thick or heavy. Should be the best release yet under this label.
