Good ruby-red. Red- and blackcurrant, shoe polish and licorice on the nose. Chunky, concentrated and fresh; in a more rustic, medicinal, peppery style, with a penetrating herbal quality. Still rather primary, but shows a subtle sweetness. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins and a slightly green quality. This spent 24 months in oak.
