($68) Deep red. Fresh, soil-accented cherry, raspberry and blackberry aromas deepened by chocolate and fresh meat nuances. Vibrant and racy, with strong floral pastille-accented cherry flavor, a sweet note of fruitcake and gentle tannins. Already showing complexity, this Hermitage finishes on the soft side, with a late-arriving suggestion of grilled game.
