($325) Ruby-red. Pleasantly sweet nose of red cherry, espresso, milk chocolate and rose petal, with hints of peach and apricot. Remarkably fresh and lively in the mouth, with the peach and apricot notes adding another dimension to the chocolatey-ripe red fruits. A powerful yet graceful wine of uncommonly layered complexity and silky sweetness. The delicately balsamic finish goes on and on. May well be Italy's best sweet red wine.
