($32-$35) Medium red. Very ripe, sweet aromas of plum, mocha and bitter chocolate. Unusually sweet and supple for this wine, with lovely depth and volume to its cassis and chocolate flavors. Very St. Estephe in style. Finishes powerful, sweet and long, with the unusually fine tannins arriving late. An outstanding performance for this chateau.

No need to challenge the best. RP has it pegged. For the money, this wine is a home run. It drinks like a $50-70 bottle of wine. Beautiful taste, nice medium red color, bouquet is poignant, but not overpowering. Has nice, long finish with fruity, smooth tannins. I plan to buy more and put it away for a treat in the future. I'm new to French wines, but really enjoy the information you guys put up up on the Website. Perhaps you might consider links to other information about the wine or the Chateau. I always enjoy reading up on a wines history and its makers when I sit down to enjoy a bottle. Thanks.
