Fine rose bubbles

Certainly worth the cost at $22. Dry but fruit forward this Cab Franc bubbles is perfect for the 1st course. I drove 40 miles for this and paid a $5 toll. Definitely worth the $22.

Tasted FFS. Great summer wine, sweet but delicate. Too expensive.

Was excellent with goat cheese on crackers with grapes and with gruyere straight up
Great value but some variation year to year.

I purchased a case just recently, having had it the previous two years. I think last year was slightly better than the current offering. This year it seems to have more brisk acidity, last was almost creamy. Interestingly last year was also the palest of the bunch. The most recent being more typical of two years ago, indicating they may have spent more time on the skins. But hey that's just my amateur opinion.
At any rate it is a spectacular value, and a great alternative to Champagne. Cab Franc makes for an interesting sparkler.
Perfect summer aperitif

This is a truly lovely, light sparkling rose wine from the Chinon/Cravantes des Coteaux region of the Loire. Beautiful pale pink color, light fruity mouthful. Is it profound? No. Is it the perfect thing to serve al fresco with cheese etc. on a warm summer's evening? Yep.
