89(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2007

($91) Delicate if rather inexpressive nose hints at flowers, menthol and porcini; a bit less pure than the Referts. Suppler on entry but less sweet than the Referts; this has a rather gentle texture and an edge of acidity but could use a bit more grip. Firms up on the back half, showing a more taut minerality, but I find this a bit less ripe than the Referts, possibly the effect of some stress in these vines. This rather elegantly styled wine will need time.
