90(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2007
($91; from 50-year-old vines on deep, clay-rich soil, next to Meursault Charmes) Subdued but pure nose hints at pear. Then sweet and rather robust, a step up intensity and complexity from the Garenne. Lovely ripe acidity and firm minerality give penetration to the lemon and lime flavors. In a rather masculine, slightly austere style but not at all rustic. This tight, firmly structured wine needs at least a couple years in the bottle. Very good material here.
