($70) Inky purple. Peppery cassis, boysenberry and plum on the nose, plus a strong peppery accent. Bitter cherry and sweet dark berry liqueur flavors are deep and velvety, but with some tart finishing acidity. Youthfully taut in the middle palate but opens up on the sweet, tangy, spicy finish.
