($45) Inky ruby. Pungent cherry and cassis aromas are complicated by cured meat and licorice. Fleshy and sweet, with deep red berry preserve flavors, supple tannins and a late note of cola. This is very open right now, and showing excellent finishing sweetness, but I suspect it will gain complexity with a few years of additional bottle aging.
