I had the 2004 and now the 2005 is just a good!
A decided home run (what is the equivalent of that in cricket?)! Nothing subtle here, at all. Huge plum and eucalyptus bouquet, chewy structure, and a long spectacular finish. Exceptionally well balanced tannins round this "bad boy" out, right down to the last "chequer!"
Deep, rich and black fruit.
Toasty and structured oak shows through without drying the palate. Increadibly long finish with excellent concentration and depth. Low yielding and delicious!!!
While the grape is currently grown throughout the world, the most elegant Syrahs still come from the Northern Rhone valley, particularly the appellations of Côte Rôtie, Cornas, and Hermitage.
