($65) Glass-staining ruby. High-pitched aromas of red and dark berries, olive, cracked pepper and violet are strikingly reminiscent of a Cote-Rotie. Precise raspberry and blackberry flavors are underscored by zesty minerals and given depth by notes of smoke and candied violet. A strikingly pure and lithe wine that finishes with excellent thrust and minerality. (Epicurean Wines, Seattle, WA)
