($28) Inky violet. Explosive, high-pitched nose offers cherry, blueberry and cassis aromas, with notes of rose, bitter chocolate and smoked meat. Sweet, chewy and lush, with powerful dark fruit flavors perked up by exotic spices; not at all sloppy or loose-knit. Finishes with sweet blackberry and cassis flavors, soft tannins and superb length.
