($35) Deep ruby. Vanilla-accented cherry and dark berry aromas are complicated by baking spices and zesty minerality. Ripe blackberry and plum flavors are sweetened by vanillin oak and mocha, with firm tannins adding structure and shape. Finishes sweet and persistent but the oak tones are a bit pronounced right now. Will the wood be absorbed by the fruit?
