90 Points | International Wine Cellar , September/October 2006

($35) Deep ruby. Sexy aromas of incense- and vanilla-accented cherry and candied plum, with complicating notes of roasted coffee and dried violet. Dense on the palate, with concentrated cherry and dark berry flavors complicated by chewing tobacco, coffee candy and subtle black pepper. Finishes with solid but not exaggerated tannins and a lingering sweetness. (European Cellars, Charlotte, NC)
