87 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2006
($20; 80% tempranillo and 20% cabernet sauvignon) Ruby-red. Dark berries, bitter chocolate and espresso on the nose, with hints of licorice, cocoa powder and baking spices. Lush and smoky on the palate, with good depth to the sweet dark berry and bitter cherry flavors and strong tannins adding structure. This is more powerful and more marked by its wood than the basic Longaz bottling. (European Cellars, Charlotte, NC)
