($303) Dark ruby. Explosively perfumed nose offers a sexy bouquet of ripe blackberry, kirsch, licorice, mocha and sandalwood. Plenty oaky but packed with fruit too, displaying a complex array of red and dark berry flavors accompanied by suave chocolate and dark toffee notes. Tannins are nicely absorbed, adding gentle support but not overpowering the ripe fruit. Picks up a floral pastille quality on the long, sappy finish. (Kobrand Corporation, New York, NY)
