87 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - July/August 2009

(a blend of cabernet sauvignon and tempranillo) Bright ruby. Cherry-vanilla and oak spices on the nose. Supple and sweet, offering candied cherry and blackcurrant flavors along with a lashing of vanillin oak. Gentle tannins add grip to the finish, which is spicy and moderately persistent. The insistent oakiness held down my score.
