($129; 100% tempranillo) Opaque purple. Youthfully brooding aromas of boysenberry, blueberry, plum jam and sexy oak spices. Gains energy and clarity with air, showing black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors, with supple tannins adding grip. Ripe acids add energy to the long, juicy finish, where the blueberry quality dominates. This gained vibrancy with air, suggesting that it will reward patience; give it at least five more years in the cellar.
