Exemplary Priorat; beautiful color and fragrance, mouth watering flavor of complex fruit and berries. Open and let it sit. In the unlikely event you don't finish the bottle it will be superb the following day.

Berry flavors with low tannins. Drinks best between 15 and 30 minutes after opening.

This is a big wine with heavy notes. However it is the flavors of deep berries and tobacco that comes through more than the huge alcohol. I bought 6 bottles. Good purchase.
Accident

Shortly after receiving this wine and putting it away in our wine storage area, my husband opened it before carefully looking at the label and planned to have with a hamburger! While I wasn't thrilled about pairing it with a hamburger- plus I had planned to age it for a couple years -I was blown away by the wine. It was very smooth yet full bodied even though it had not aged at all. Can't wait to taste after it in a couple years - assuming my husband doesn't find it before!

The Vall Llach Idus turned out to be just ok. decent nose, ok to the pallet with a weak finish. I would not buy this vintage again. I think it was over hyped for the price.
