($190) Dark red. Ripe cherry and blackcurrant aromas complicated by vanilla and baking spices. Rich and creamy, with deep flavors of candied plum, cherry liqueur and vanilla. Very fresh and energetic for such a rich, chewy wine, with juicy acids giving lift and focus. Finishes sweet, oaky and long, with fine, suave tannins. (Fine Estates From Spain, Dedham, MA)
