(made with the involvement of Michel and Dany Rolland) Saturated ruby. Smoky, toasty, ripe scents of roasted cherry, blackcurrant, espresso, baking spices and dried flowers. Distinctly warm in the mouth, with rich, concentrated dark fruit and vanilla flavors and muskier accents of coffee and dark chocolate. Very much a wine of its vintage, finishing with a warm, sweet note of dark berry liqueur and a hint of balsamico (Winesellers, Ltd., Skokie, IL)
