($50; a blend of gewurztraminer, riesling and chardonnay) Bright yellow. Highly aromatic nose combines peach, minerals, vanilla and spices, plus obvious nuances of pink grapefruit and lychee. Rich yet fresh on the palate, with impressively bright acids giving considerable lift to the ripe yellow fruit and spice flavors. Finishes long and fleshy, with a wonderfully tactile sensation as well as some noticeable alcohol. For Tuscany, a truly amazing aromatic dry wine: I would have never thought such aromatic purity could be achieved in a place as hot as Suvereto.
