87 Points | International Wine Cellar , September/October 2006

($40; sangiovese and syrah) Medium dark red. Somewhat reduced aromas of red berries, peppery spices and flowers. Then ripe and soft in the mouth, with attractive sweetness and plenty of sangiovese character. Juicy and sappy, with nicely concentrated flavors similar to the aromas, this finishes moderately long, with slightly rustic tannins. This is always the wine that Frascolla finds the least convincing, but I usually find that he's too hard on it. That said, this version is a little disappointing for the vintage.
