94 Points | International Wine Cellar , November/December 2006

($43) Medium green-yellow. Nicely defined aromas of gooseberry compote, blossom honey, white pepper and wet slate. Full-bodied, powerful and complex. Although this wine is dry, it displays intense, sweet apricot as well as veltliner-typical peppercorn and tobacco from entry to aftertaste. Already harmonious and approachable, this really stimulates the taste buds and whets the appetite for a second glass. Drink 2007 to 2015. Also recommended: 2005 Riesling Dornleiten (87), 2005 Gruner Veltliner Kremser Freiheit (88), 2005 Gruner Veltliner Gartling (89), 2005 Sauvignon Blanc (89), 2004 Brut de Brut (89). (Terry Theise Estate Selections; imported by Michael Skurnik Wines, Syosset, NY)
