About Bouchard Pere et Fils
Maison Bouchard Pére et Fils was founded in 1731 by a cloth merchant from Dauphine named Michel Bouchard. By the end of his life, he had assembled the négociant operation which would grow into what is today the largest owner of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte d'Or.

($115) Good deep red. Captivating aromas of raspberry, mocha, spices and minerals complemented by sexy oak tones. At once suave and serious, with a lush, seamless texture and excellent lift and tang to its red fruit, mineral and spice flavors. Lovely tangy, complex Beaune wine with a weightless quality and a subtle emerging note of leather. The wine's firm, perfectly integrated tannins should ensure an extended life in bottle.
