2005 Columbia Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Red Willow Vineyard Yakima Valley

10% Malbec. Its muddled smells of old leather and earth are not the stuff of enticement, and, while it is not at all dirty, the wine is similarly sparing in fruit in its dry and underfilled flavors. The presence of leathery and vaguely woodsy notes in its narrow, finish does it no favors either.
