Powerful golden yellow. Discreet caramel backs ripe yellow apple and mirabelle laced with honey. A rather powerful wine, with flavors of malt and caramel and a refreshing spine of acidity. Hazelnut and gooseberry compote linger on the finish. Due to its subtle aroma and impeccably structured yet generous body, this style of pinot blanc makes a versatile accompaniment to many foods. Drink now to 2014. (Terry Theise Estate Selections; imported by Michael Skurnik Wines, Syosset, NY)
