07 Vintage. Needs decanting, since there's a little sediment in the bottle, and this wine needs to breath. Inky dark crimson purple wine, with plum and cherry fruit and dense soft tannins. Seemed very dry upon opening, but got softer and sweeter after being open a few hours. This was my first bottle of monastrell. I liked it, but didn'r quite love it. 3.5 stars.
