($43) Dark ruby-garnet with violet highlights. Somewhat shy nose displays ripe sloe berry and amarelle cherry complicated by tobacco leaf and mineral nuances. Light on its feet and juicy, despite carrying alcohol of 14%, thanks to refreshing acidity and a vibrant lemony nuance. A silky, moderately long blaufrankisch with a lingering raspberry flavor. Drink now to 2012.
