88(+?)? Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September 2007

Saturated purple. Dense dark fruit aromas complicated by espresso, tobacco and licorice root. Solid, chunky cherry and plum flavors are a touch bitter, with firm tannins adding grip. A deeply concentrated, serious style of wine but a bit clenched and inexpressive today.
