93 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2007

($65) Inky violet. This smells uncannily like a top-level Northern Rhone wine, with potent dark berry, smoked meat and violet scents complicated by graphite and iron. Smoky and lush, with vivid blackberry and cassis flavors, excellent depth and fine, silky tannins; a hint of mocha comes up with air. Juicy, concentrated and long, finishing with an impressive interplay of fruit and minerals. (JR)
