($56) Medium ruby-red. Musky aromas of raw crushed berries, medicinal cherry, tobacco and nutty oak. Broad and voluminous, but showing more sheer power and concentration today than flavor definition. This rather chunky wine is uncompromisingly dry and youthfully unformed. Finishes with major palate-saturating tannins.
