($45) Deep red. Spicy blackberry and kirsch on the nose, picking up cinnamon and nutmeg with air. Powerful dark berry flavors are surprisingly lithe, with building minerality adding zest. Gains sweetness on the finish but retains energy and focus, leaving brisk berry skin qualities behind. Very nicely balanced pinot.
