90(+?) Points | International Wine Cellar , September/October 2007

($55) Good full, deep red. Pungent blackberry and mineral aromas complicated by flinty, floral and smoky nuances. Sappy and intensely flavored but tightly wound. The sharply focused blackberry and raspberry flavors are further lifted by minerals and flowers. In a very taut, classically dry style, with a bracing, firmly tannic finish calling for two to four years of cellaring. Very impressive New Zealand pinot, and one of the best examples I tasted this year that's not from Central Otago.
