92 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - January/February 2008

($50; cabernet sauvignon with about 25% malbec) Fresh dark ruby color. Much more aromatic nose than the 2004 version, with blackberry, licorice and violet dominating. Intense black fruit flavors are framed and lifted by ripe acidity, with spice and fruitcake notes accentuating the wine's sweetness. Impressively concentrated wine, finishing with terrific energy and length.
