($65; 100% syrah) Glass-staining ruby. Strikingly complex nose offers blueberry, cassis, cedar, potpourri and smoked meat; smells like a Bordeaux/Rhone hybrid. Sweet, palate-coating dark berry flavors are braced by zesty minerals and complicated by floral pastille and succulent herb qualities. Very sexy wine, with excellent finishing lift and clinging spiciness.
