($50; a blend of 55% bovale, 35% carignan and 10% cannonau) Deep red. Pure, aromatic nose combines blackberry, prune, minerals and smoke with a subtle hint of graphite. Dense, juicy flavors of smoky black cherry and prune are given cut by bright acids. The long finish features sophisticated, smooth tannins and a strong suggestion of coffee.
