89 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - November/December 2007

($32; from young Starderi vines; aged half in new barriques and half in barriques that have been seasoned with one white wine) Good dark red. Carnal aromas of currant and truffle. Sweet, lush and smooth, with fat flavors of cherry, strawberry and violet. The broad, dusty tannins arrive late. This rich but rather elegant nebbiolo is perfectly drinkable right now.
