($58) Good deep red. Sexy, perfumed aromas of cherry, tobacco, brown spices and flowers. Sweeter and lusher than La Serra, showing a distinctly fuller texture and more ripeness. With its broad tannins and lingering persistence, this is quite suave. Both of these vineyards were picked after the rain but the Brunate seems clearly more successful.
