($70) Good deep red. Wild nose shows more chestnut, tobacco, leather and smoke than primary fruit. Big, rich and backward, with a distinctly medicinal quality and an impression of power. There's superb depth here but this very closed wine will need a decade in the cellar. Finishes with major mouthclenching tannins. Today the 2006 is much easier to taste.
