Opaque purple. Pungent bouquet of ripe cherry, cassis and plum, with anise and musky floral qualities adding complexity. Broad, concentrated dark fruit flavors are complemented by smoked meat and black cardamom, with chunky tannins gaining strength with air. Sweet and impressively focused on the finish, where the fruit sucks up the tannins and carries on impressively. Plenty of structure here, but the fruit appears even stronger.
